Navigating Vessel Registration: Legal, Practical, and International Perspectives for Marine Insurers
Participants are invited to a two-part series on vessel registration.
Part 1: September 17
Participants will gain insight into the legal implications and international challenges of vessel registration, and learn how the absence of global standards and problematic international practices obscure vessel ownership, complicate insurance claims and access to compensation, and increase exposure to illicit activities.
Part 2: October 15
Participants will gain insight into the vessel registry process in Canada, including registry requirements, certain inspection requirements, and how to access and leverage registry information.
