Jai Sharma is the Head of Cargo Casualty at Clyde & Co and has handled more than 300 casualties in his career. Cases he has handled include a number of very significant reported English maritime cases, for example "OLYMPIC GALAXY", "NEW FLAME", "AQASIA", "EURASIAN DREAM" and "CMA CGM LIBRA" as well as reported cases in other jurisdictions, such as Singapore, India and the Marshall Islands.
Jai is recognised by Legal 500 as a recommended lawyer for shipping in London and South East England and has recently been recognised in Lloyd's List of the Top 10 maritime lawyers in 2020.
Simon Culhane
Partner | Clyde & Co LLP
Simon Culhane specialises in marine insurance, shipping, trade and transport litigation/dispute resolution. He has been at Clyde & Co for 34 years and has been a Partner for 27 of them and is a member of the firm's Marine Management Executive.
Simon handles marine recovery litigation cases before the Commercial and Admiralty Courts in London and before a number of London Arbitration Tribunals including in particular, the LMAA and LCIA. Simon is frequently asked by leading insurers to provide marine insurance coverage advice in respect of very high value losses. Simon has enormous expertise in claims arising out of the carriage of goods by sea, which have been at the heart of Simon's practice throughout his career.

Caitlin O’Boyle
Manager, Liability, Compensation, and Insurance | Transport Canada, Marine Policy | Government of Canada
Caitlin O’Boyle is the Manager of Marine Liability, Compensation, and Insurance at Transport Canada, where she has spent more than 10 years of her career working on various maritime files. She is responsible for policy, legislation and regulations related to liability, compensation, and insurance matters, including the Marine Liability Act, the Wrecked, Abandoned and Hazardous Vessels Act, the Marine Insurance Act, as well as the implementation of international convention sin the domestic regime. She has a BA in Political Science and a MA in Public Policy and Public Administration, both from Concordia University.

Mariella Dauphinee, CIP (Marine)
Marine Claims Leader, Intact Insurance Company
Mariella Dauphinee started her career in marine insurance in Canada 30 years ago, following an apprenticeship with her father (marine specialist and author). She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of British Columbia, followed by a CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation, specializing in Marine Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Canada, where she later taught courses. She also has a Certificate in Shipping and Marine Operations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a couple of years later undertook post graduate studies in Maritime & Logistics Management at the Australian Maritime College. She is the author of the textbook “Manual de Seguros de Transporte Maritimo” (Maritime Transport Insurance Handbook). She is currently a Vice Chair of the Loss Prevention Committee (IUMI) representing Canada (The Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters). In June 2021, she also accepted the role of Chair of the Claims and Loss Prevention Committee for CBMU. Mariella is the immediate Past President of the Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia. She works as Marine Claims Leader for Intact Insurance Company out of Vancouver, where she handles various marine lines nationally, such as cargo, hull & machinery, as well marine liabilities.
